According to the Montana Lottery Association, no one has yet claimed either the ticket sold at Rosauers in Libby or Town Pump in Troy as of Thursday.

Libby’s powerball ticket for $50,000 was announced on Dec. 9 with the numbers 05, 08, 14, 38, 42.

Troy’s Montana Millionaire ticket for $100,000 was announced on Dec. 29 with the winning numbers 52730.

The Powerball ticket sold in Libby prizes must be claimed within six months of the announced end of the game. The Montana Millionaire ticket in Troy must be claimed within six months of the drawing for which the ticket was eligible.

The Montana Lottery Association encourages people to sign the back of their ticket as soon as possible to prevent anyone else from claiming the prize. They also recommend keeping photocopies of the claim form and the front and back of the ticket.

Since both tickets are over $599, they must be claimed at the Lottery Headquarters either by mail or in person. To mail, the winners must print their name and address on the back of the ticket and complete a claim form to mail along with the ticket and mail them to the Montana Lottery Prize Payment at P.O. Box 6073, Helena 59604-6073. Certified mail is recommended.
