Glenda M. Christiansen

Glenda M. Christiansen, 70, of Libby passed away at her home of natural causes on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017. She was born Aug. 31, 1946 in Opelika, Ala. to Willie Mae Crenshaw.

She spent much of her childhood in Opelika and at the age of 15, moved with her mother to Charleston, SC where she graduated from high school. She met Lester “Chris” Christiansen while he was serving in the military. They were married and later divorced but about five years ago, Chris went to Bullhead City, Ariz. and they were remarried. She returned with him to Libby. Glenda had worked as a press operator for about 10 years and then had worked in various casinos and bars. When asked what her hobbies included, Chris said with a smile, “slot machines and giving her husband a hard time!”

Glenda was preceded in death by her mother, a brother and a sister.

Survivors include her husband Chris of Libby; a sister, Patricia Maddox of Bullhead City, Ariz.; her two sons Charles Christiansen of Tacoma, Wash. and William “Billy” Christiansen and his wife of Rathdrum, Idaho; and two grandsons Justin Kase Christiansen of Libby and Michael Christiansen of Seattle, Wash..
