June Arline Cotter

June Arline Cotter, 90 of Glasgow, Mont. passed away peacefully in Billings. on Wednesday Feb. 15, 2017. Bell Mortuary is assisting the family and services will be held at a later date.

June Arline Nelson was born to Helga Nelson and Roy Hanson in Minneapolis, Minn. on June 9, 1926. She lived with her grandmother Johanna Nelson in Robinsdale, Minn. until she was 9 years old at which time she moved to Glasgow, Mont. with her Mother Helga “Bobbi” Maxwell and step-father Clegg Maxwell. She received her education in Glasgow. She was a member and official in the Hotel, Restaurant and Bartenders Union for years and the First Lutheran Church.

She worked as a bartender until she was 75 years old. She loved to go dancing, play cards, do crafts, socialize with friends, fishing, boating, camping with her late husband Bob Cotter and visiting her family.

She is survived by two children, Arnold (Shirley) Lehnert, Libby, MT and Rose Carr (Shane) Poll, Sandy, Utah. Seven grandchildren, Darin (Amanda) Lehnert, Spirit Lake, Idaho, Stacy (Kirsten) Lehnert, Libby, MT, Keri (Robb) Turner, Parker, Colo., Christopher (Terri) Logan, Worland, Wyo., Elizabeth (Shawn) Sexton, Sandy, Utah, Emily Logan, Billings, Mont, and step-grandchild Nancy Showerman Steele, Texas. Thirteen great-grandchildren, one of which is named after her, Holly June Lehnert and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob Cotter, significant other Walt Riggin, step-daughter Patricia Carr Showerman, great-grandson John Colton Logan, step grandsons Bill Showerman and Richard Showerman.
