Libby football coach Neil Fuller says the team is excited to be back in Class A play after two seasons in Class B.

“We have had a solid summer of camp activities and our kids are getting the commitment level back up to where it needs to be to be successful,” he said via email. “We are young up front but we have athletic kids that have put in some good time in the weightroom and we feel like we have a chance to be very competitive this year.”

Seven seniors return to the field this year — Brian Peck, Laine Young, Nik Jones, Clancy Gout, Tim Carvey, Tanner Wood and Michael Diller.

“Peck and Young are the two hardest workers on the team as far as time spent in the weightroom and putting in the extra time,” Fuller wrote.

The team’s biggest challenge, he said, “is going to be gaining some much needed confidence through our non-league games.”
