Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking up to five volunteer applicants to serve terms of two to three years on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee that was established in 1996. The primary function of the CAC is to increase FWP’s awareness of emerging issues throughout the region by sharing the perspectives of the increasingly diverse constituencies.

We are seeking people with multi-faceted enthusiasm for the outdoors who we will rely on for advice and perspective regarding a wide range of sportsman, fisheries, wildlife, parks, enforcement, recreational and educational issues.

We try to geographically balance membership throughout our region encompassing northwest Montana so that we broaden the base of issues and perspectives. If selected as an advisor, we ask that you relay to FWP not only your unique perspective on current issues, but also the concerns, interests, and public opinion that you hear and discuss with others from your community, natural resource organizations or social circle.

This Citizen’s Advisory Committee meets approximately five to six times per year between late September and early June. Meetings are typically scheduled for Wednesday evenings in the Kalispell area. If selected as a committee member, your attendance at meetings is expected.

To apply, request a cover letter and application by emailing mabbrescia@mt.gov or by calling 406-752-5501.

Applications must be received no later than Aug. 31, 2017.
