An Idaho man is being held on $100,000 bond at Lincoln County jail on drug charges filed earlier this week.

Michael Lee Yankey, 40, of Post Falls, Idaho was charged on Monday with criminal possession of dangerous drugs and intent to distribute after officers found more than 50 grams of meth and more than $2,400 in his possession. Justice of the Peace Jay Sheffield has set his bond at $100,000.

On Sept. 8, Lincoln County Detective Nate Scofield arrested Yankey on a felony warrant out of Sanders County. The next day, Scofield received a search warrant to check Yankey’s vehicle, where he allegedly found 52.9 grams of methamphetamine inside an opened vacuum-sealed bag, along with another 6.9 grams in another bag, several scales with meth residue and a 17.8-gram bag of marijuana.

Scofield also reported seizing $2,459.61 suspected to be profits of selling meth. The cash, Scofield reported, was on Yankey’s person at the time of his arrest for the felony warrant out of Sanders County.

Court documents list Jessica Graham as a co-defendant in the case, although she has since been released from Lincoln County jail.

Yankey’s preliminary hearing has been set for 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 in Lincoln County District Court.
