August 25, 8 a.m. — “Rough looking” people were reported camping at a park. The caller said that the people hadn’t actually done anything illegal or suspicious but the caller wanted to give information in case something came up.

August 25, 9 a.m. — Dispatch received a call that someone had broken into their vehicle about a week ago and they had just realized it was broken into. The caller believed whoever did it left evidence behind.

August 25, 11:30 a.m. — A vehicle owner reported that someone had stolen their stereo from their vehicle.

August 25, 1:30 p.m. — A mother told dispatch that her son was fishing at a nearby pond and caught a fish. When her son went to release the fish, he had problems taking it off the hook and the fish died. Her son went to go offer the fish to a lady and a girl that were also fishing, and later the lady posted things on Facebook that were not nice about her son.

August 26, 1 p.m. — A woman was reported missing in the Ross Creek Cedars area when a man and young child reported that they could not find her. An hour later, the woman walked out of the woods and had told officers that she had medical issues and had apparently passed out for a few hours.

August 26, 2:45 p.m. — An IRS scam phone call was reported. The individual told dispatch that this was the fourth time this year they received an IRS scam call.

August 26, 3:45 p.m. — An individual reported that their weed eater had been stolen.

August 26, 5:30 p.m. — An intoxicated individual was reported to have passed out at the Libby Care Center.

August 26, 10 p.m. — At a casino on U.S. Highway 2, a belligerent individual was reported refusing to leave.

August 27, 1 a.m. — Dispatch received a call of a bicyclist riding under the influence who had reportedly run into the back of a parked vehicle.

August 28, 5 p.m. — At a nearby park, a caller told dispatch their dog was chasing a deer across the park into a fence and the caller heard a gunshot from area residences. The caller said that they didn’t know who was shooting and what they were shooting.

August 28, 8 p.m. — Dispatch received a call that someone had found a pellet pistol lying on the ground near a restaurant.

August 28, 8:45 p.m. — An individual reported to dispatch that they had just chased a big black bear out of a yard by the Libby Elementary School.

August 29, 9:45 a.m. — A caller on U.S. Highway 2 told dispatch that they just saw another vehicle hit a deer. The deer had taken out the windshield of the vehicle, but the driver was reportedly alright.

August 29, 12:45 p.m. — A vehicle owner asked for assistance after they let their friend borrow their vehicle, and the friend had brought back the vehicle with an injured cat up inside by the motor.

August 29, 2 p.m. — A resident called in to report kids lighting off fireworks again and the caller was afraid that it was too dry and may cause a fire.

August 30, 8:30 p.m. — A burglary was reported at a nearby residence, when a caller advised that someone had been stealing windows and items from the house.

August 30, 10:30 p.m. — Shots were fired when an individual was reported to be firing off a high powered rifle in a neighborhood.

August 30, 1:30 p.m. — Another IRS scam call was reported.

August 30, 2 p.m. — Dispatch received a call that someone had reportedly stolen items from an individual at a nearby store.

August 30, 10 p.m. — Two males were reported at a lot that was being cleaned due to asbestos cleaning. The caller was worried that the men were messing with equipment.
