The Troy Lady Trojans will play a decisive match against the Eureka Lions at 10 a.m. Saturday at the 7B District Tournament. If they lose that game, they will not be able to advance.

The Lady Trojans have lost to Eureka twice before, once on Sept. 29 and again on Oct. 13, but Troy’s head volleyball coach Mandy Love said Eureka is not an “unbeatable” team.

“If we play well, we can do it,” Love said. “We have to be able to hit well at them.”

If Troy wins, they will go on to play Thompson Falls at 2 p.m. If they lose against Thompson Falls, they will play at 4 p.m. against the loser of the noon game of Bigfork vs. Libby. If they win against Thompson Falls, they will play at 6 p.m. against the winner of Bigfork vs. Libby.

At noon on Saturday, the Lady Loggers with face off against the Bigfork Valkyries.

The Lady Loggers swept Bigfork on Oct. 6 and Sept. 15, both in three games.

Libby head volleyball coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston said the team is working hard, getting back to the basics and cherishing their last games together.

“We’re going back to the basics and making sure that we’re technically sound,” Ostrem-Johnston said.

The top three teams advance to the divisional tournament in Anaconda, Nov. 3-5.
