The Libby Loggers fell to the Thompson Falls Bluehawks on Friday, 44-6.

The loss left the Loggers with a 1-8 record, while Thompson Falls finished 3-5.

The Bluehawks led 24-0 at the half and won going away.

Runningback McKenzie Holt scored on runs of 47, 50, 20 and 20 yards for the hosts.

Libby’s lone score came in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard run by QB Braydan Thom.

“In some respects it was our best effort of the year,” Libby coach Neil Fuller said, adding that the team played hard but had trouble stopping Holt, who he called a “Division I running back.”

Fuller is only losing three seniors from this year’s cast as Thom, Damian Kelch-Visnell and Logan Nelson are set to graduate.

“We’ve got a lot of good younger kids coming up,” Fuller said.
