District Judge gave no endorsement

In response to rumors I have heard that I have endorsed or encouraged one particular candidate for the office I now hold — that of district judge, Montana 19th Judicial District — I wish to state that when I decided not to file for re-election, I announced that so that any attorney who wished to file could do so.

I did not single out any specific person to be my successor, and any representation to the contrary is not accurate.
