The Libby and Troy football teams both lost on Friday.

Libby fell at Bigfork, 48-6, and Troy lost their homecoming game to Eureka, 60-0.

J.J. Davis had a 3-yard scoring run in the second quarter for the Loggers (1-6) against the undefeated Vikings.

Coach Neil Fuller complimented his offensive line for its best blocking all year. The line included senior Damian Kelch-Vissness, junior Tucker Carvey, sophomore Dayton Meister and freshmen Tanner Marshall, Cyrus Sweedman and Chris Schedlbauer.

Fuller said the score doesn’t indicate it, but the Loggers had their best game of the year against a good Bigfork team.

Libby was down 21-6 in the second quarter and drove inside the Vikings’ 30-yard line before turning the ball over on downs. Bigfork then scored on a long pass play just before the half to go up 27-6.

The Loggers take on 6-3 Whitehall at Washington Grizzly Stadium in Missoula on Friday, while Troy (0-7) travels to Thompson Falls to play the 1-5 Blue Hawks.

The Loggers will “camp out” at Loyola High School in Missoula on Friday night and attend the Montana Grizzlies football game on Saturday against Sacramento State.
