The Western News

At the Troy High School theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday, students performed “Alice in Wonderland,” with a modern twist.

Alice, a typical modern-day teenager, is thrown into a world where neither cell phones, nor the internet exist.

Lewis Carroll’s nonsensical work of children’s literature was made real by the colorful display of both set and costume and the acting talent of the high schoolers.

One of the more “magical” features of the play was the use of blacklight. During the scenes with the Cheshire Cat and the Caterpillar, the colorful background would glow in the dark.
