Carol Griner

56, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Carole Lynn Griner, 56, lost her battle with lung cancer and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2016, in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She was born to Robert and Bessie Hines-Griner on March 1, 1960, in Libby, where she continued to live for the majority of her life.

She worked at the family ceramic store from around 1979 until 2000, as well as her own tanning salon. She later went on to start a family daycare in her home where she provided childcare to many families for the next 15 years in Libby.

She was well known for her artistic side and love for ceramics. She loved the outdoors, taking photographs, finding and collecting “treasures,” crocheting and spending time with her four grandchildren. She had the biggest heart, opened her home to many children and would take in any stray or abandoned animal.

She is preceded in death by her parents, oldest brother and sister. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Katheryn McKay and husband Jason of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; brother Arnold Griner of Libby; a niece and nephew and families of Troy and four grandchildren, Hunter, Nevaeh, Jayden and Tana.

No service will be held at this time. Any donations can be made to Kootenai Pets for Life.

“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.”
