Two new physicians have joined the Cabinet Peaks Family Medicine provider team.

Drs. Sara Huddleston, MD and Daniel Woydick, MD have joined the family medicine clinic full time and are now accepting new patients.

Dr. Huddleston comes to Libby most recently from New Zealand, where she worked in a rural community clinic and hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a candidate for a Wilderness Medical Society fellowship. She completed her undergraduate degree at Western Washington University and earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University. She completed her residency at Tacoma Family Medicine Residency.

“I enjoy working in rural small communities,” stated Dr. Huddleston. “I love the outdoors and enjoying hiking, fishing, biking, backpacking, and skiing.  I am looking forward to being a part of this community and enjoy the peace and simplicity of being away from a large city.”

Dr. Woydick hails originally from Wisconsin, but traveled the world as a doctor with the United States Army before making his way to Libby. While in the service, he practiced in rural Germany, the Middle East and at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He did his residency at Duke University Hospital. He is also board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

“I was looking for a community with values similar to my home upbringing with open space, forest, and farming,” stated Dr. Woydick.  “New different hunting opportunities and access to real snow again is part of what brought me to the area.  I have much to learn about Libby and regional history and local goings on, but that notwithstanding, Libby feels immediately familiar and special.”

Cabinet Peaks chief executive officer Bruce Whitfield said he is thrilled to add the new physicians to the hospital staff, and to the Libby community.

“We are thrilled to have hired two highly qualified and experienced physicians to join the practice,” he said. “Both Dr. Huddleston and Dr. Woydick are excellent additions to our family medicine clinic and to our community, and we are excited to have them join us.”
