Here's to a safe summer

From the Chief:

It’s hard to believe it’s May already; summer is just around the corner.

School will be out in a few short weeks. Remember until then we are out following the school buses and writing tickets to those that pass while the red lights are flashing.

The pending end of the school year also means lots of children out on bicycles; drivers need to pay more attention.

Also, May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Motorcyclists rarely win against a car or a truck. Take the time to look twice; it just may save the life of your neighbor, friend or family member.

And last, but certainly not least, if you drink please don’t drive. Let’s make this the safest summer on Montana roads in recent history.

Terry Watson,

Libby Police Chief
