The state Justice Department has issued a missing and endangered person advisory for two Browning boys who were taken by their non-custodial father last month.

Blackfeet Tribal Police say 8-year-old Victor Killsnight and 12-year-old Kaelin Rodgers were taken by 37-year-old Shem Killsnight from a Child Protective Services placement home on Feb. 11. Shem Killsnight is under federal investigation for child abuse.

Blackfeet police say the boys weren’t reported missing until last Friday.

Victor is 3 feet, 5 inches tall and 57 pounds. He is cognitively delayed and speech impaired. Kaelin is 4 feet, 7 inches tall and 80 pounds. Both are Native American.

Shem Killsnight is 6 feet tall and weighs about 300 pounds. He may be driving a black 2000 Oldsmobile Alero with Montana license plate 38-0782B and may be traveling to Tacoma, Wash., or Seattle, Wash.
