72, of Eureka

 

Thomas Sagrif Crelly, Jr., 72 of Eureka, died at home in Queen Creek, Ariz., of brain cancer on Dec. 17, 2015. 

He was born to the late Thomas S. Crelly, Sr. and the late Ruth Bloodsworth

Crelly Knotts on August 23, 1943, in Wicomico, Md.

Tom was married to Patricia Gatton Crelly and together they joined and built their family. He is survived by Katherine Crelly Simonson, Shane Crelly, Mary Ann Bogie Clarke and Joy Bogie Haugan. He is also is survived by a sister, Carole Canada; brother, Robert Knotts; 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Crelly.

Tom was known to everyone as “Captain Tom” and he loved to tell stories of his days working on the water in St. Mary’s County, Md. He enjoyed his later years in Montana going for the big hunt and fly fishing on the Kootenai River. He also enjoyed dancing and singing to entertain people and make them laugh. 

He and Pat traveled and spent a year in Panama before returning to the mountains of Montana.

Tom touched the lives of many and will truly be missed by his family and all those who came in contact with him. He was always full of life and could take over any room with his presence.
