On Thursday, the Lady Loggers took down Thompson Falls, with a final score of 47-29.

The first period was close, with the Lady Loggers one point behind seven-eight. After that, the team gained momentum and defense that their opponents couldn’t keep up with, scoring 13 points in the second period, 13 points in the third period and 14 points in the last period — to the Thompson Falls’ six, zero and 15 points in those periods.

Shannon Reny led the team with 20, Khalyn Hageness with eight, Jayden Winslow adding six, Brooklyn Rainer contributing four, Abby Ennenga also with four, Madisen Monigold with three and Emma Gruber with two.

In the final moments of the Lady Loggers’ game against the Bigfork Valkyries on Saturday, Shannon Reny, who led the team with 18 points, made two three-pointers in the final seconds of the game, but the effort wasn’t enough for Libby to claim the win, losing to the Valkyries by one point.

By halftime, the Lady Loggers seemed to have had the lead over the opposing team, closing with 17-14, but lost momentum in the second half of the game, while Bigfork gained momentum.
