Libby freshman Ryggs Johnston picked up his second prep victory in just six days, shooting 69 to finish three under par in Ronan. Fellow Logger Jonny Cielak shot a one-over 73 to finish fourth.

“It was another great outing for the Libby Logger Golf Team,” said coach Dann Rohrer. “Ryggs and Jonny continued their solid play in very difficult conditions.  Dealing with rain, wind, and the cold weather the boys team had a great showing. Ryggs Johnston won his second event in six days posting a fine three under 69, with teammate Jonny Cielak continuing to play very solid golf with a 73 placing him in fourth. The birdie brothers not to be confused with the Golden State ‘Splash Brothers’ have encouraged and pushed each other to become a very solid force in Class B spring golf. Andrew Freese posted a 116 playing well on the par threes. Buddy Doolin shot a 147 playing through a few blisters on his hands.”

The boys team shot 405 good for seventh place, with a short squad as some of the team’s seniors were away for the Close-Up trip to Washington, D.C.
