Lloyd Cann

87, of Sedro Woolley, Wash.

On Oct. 3, 2015, Lloyd “Buzz” Neil Cann passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at United General Hospital in Sedro Woolley, Wash. He was born May 29, 1928, in Farmington, Idaho.

Within a few years, Buzz’s family moved to Potlatch, Idaho. There, at the young age of 11 years, he met the love of his life, his sweet Lorraine, whom he married eight years later on Oct. 4, 1947. In 1951, Buzz and Lorraine moved with their two children to Libby, where Buzz worked as a saw filer with the J. Neils Lumber Company for many years. Their third child was born in Libby, and in 1970, Buzz went to work for Lincoln County Road Department until his retirement in 1990. Several years later, Buzz and Lorraine moved to Sedro Woolley, Wash., to be closer to family.

Buzz was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine in 2013. He passed away one day prior to what would have been their 68th wedding anniversary. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a younger sister, also of Libby, Fern Cann McRell. He is survived by his son, Mike Cann (wife Susan) of Sedro, Woolley, Wash.; daughter, LaBeth Spain (late husband, Lester) of Mount Vernon, Wash., and daughter, Peggy Greer (husband Richard) of Fortine. He is also survived by seven grandsons, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Buzz leaves behind a legacy of having been deeply loved by his many friends and family; we were all touched by his wit and wisdom and will miss him greatly.
