Gayle Lamey

Gayle A. Lamey, 54, of Libby, passed away at her home on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015.  She was born April 5, 1961, in Libby to Alan and Carolyn (Zajanc) Lamey. Gayle was born and raised in Libby, attending the Libby Public Schools and graduating with the Class of 1979.  While in high school she was a drill team captain. She then attended beauty school in Sandpoint, Idaho, and came back to Libby and worked for Helen Tarbert for a couple of years.  She had also worked at Esther’s Beauty Salon.

Gayle enjoyed the wild animals that gathered around her home and liked going for walks, enjoying nature and the beauty of where she lived. She was preceded in death by her dad, Alan Lamey and her stepmom, Sherry.

Survivors include her mother Carolyn Zajanc  Peck and brothers Gary Lamey and Greg Lamey, all of Libby, and many extended family members.

A memorial will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, at the Libby Christian Church. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory of Libby.
