Lady Loggers lose to Wildkats, 5-0

The Columbia Falls Wildkats handed the Lady Loggers soccer team another loss Saturday, defeating Libby 5-0 in Columbia Falls.

The Wildkats were led by Katie Price, who racked up three goals and an assist in the match. Libby senior goal keeper Shannon Reny ended the game with 22 saves.

Libby coach Joe Cik said his team is growing and working together, and fans can expect to see tough competition from the team in coming games.

“I am truly blessed to be coaching this group of kids,” Cik said. “The ladies have progressed so quickly this year. They are working together and starting to be creative. The main area of focus now is finishing plays and maintaining concentration. Everyone can expect a team that will keep competing for 80 minutes.”
