Celebrate Lynn Zimmerman's retirement Sept. 18

| September 15, 2015 9:03 AM

When Lynn Zimmerman started working at the Lincoln County Library in Libby on Sept. 14, 1994, her first thought was that the work was “overwhelming.” However, the Library Director who hired Lynn, Greta Chapman, knew she was up to the task, and she has certainly proven that time and time again throughout her 21 years with the library.

This Friday, Sept. 18, will be her last day of work, as Lynn has decided it is time to retire. While the public will miss seeing her welcoming smile behind the desk when you walk in, Lynn will continue to be involved with all the other community activities and organizations she has supported here in Libby.

The Libby Friends of the Library will be hosting a retirement celebration in Lynn’s honor on her last day of work, and we would like to invite the public to come and share some refreshments and memories with Lynn. Parents are welcome to bring their children, students of all grades can stop by after school, patrons of the library and folks who have gone to Lemonade on the Lawn over the years, all are welcome to come and celebrate. The celebration will be held at the Libby Library on Friday, Sept. 18 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
