Marcia Madison

71, of Libby

Marcia Rae Madison, 71, of Libby, passed away at her home Nov. 9, 2015. She was born Oct. 3, 1944, in Libby where she was raised. She was the 13th of Harold (Happy) and Evelyn (Maurer) Hutton’s 16 children. Marcia married David (Steve) Madison in 1962. Upon graduating from Libby High School in 1962, she worked as a secretary at Jenkins Motors and then later at Cabinet View Motors. Then, with her bubbly personality and her passion for people, she was a waitress at Henry’s Restaurant for 20 years.

Marcia was enthusiastic about everything and loved life. Everyone knew how she cherished mothering and adored her grandchildren. She loved to cook, she loved to bowl and she loved to fish. However, most memorable was how she loved to laugh. She had a funny story for everything.

Marcia was a big Libby Logger sports fan, she went all out for her grandson’s football games. We are talking big time. So much that she wore flashing lights on herself—blue and gold, of course. She also loved the Seahawks.

Marcia not only courageously fought cancer, she did it with dignity. Loving life, she asked God to grant her more and more time. He honored her in that. Marcia attended Libby Christian Church where she was baptized into Christ. Heaven is now rejoicing, whereas we who are left behind are sensing how unforgettable her fun and caring personality was and how she hung on to live life to its fullest.

Preceding Marcia in death are both her parents along with brothers, Charles, Donald, Jack, Kenneth, Maurice and Cleve and sisters Jean (Harold) Campbell and Shirley (Ron) Kihs.

Survivors include her husband David of Libby; sons Tracy (Tammy) Mobley of Idaho and Steve Madison of Libby; daughter Sandy (Ken) Neubauer of Libby; grandchildren Jordan, MacKinzie, Breanna, Maytaya, Brandon, Cory, and Gabe; four great-grandchildren; siblings Lorne (Jim) Hutton and Montana Hutton both of Libby, Larry (Thelma) Hutton of Anchorage, Alaska, Ardith Myhre, Betty (Clyde) Ross of Libby, Judy (Andre) Tulleners of Spokane, Wash., and Margie (Jr.) Johnson of Libby and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Marcia will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at Libby Christian Church, 100 Kootenai River Road. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until  8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home, 422 W. 2nd St., in Libby.
