Elected officials need to weigh in on Libby scandals

Letter to the Editor:

In light of the recent developments with our current city leaders revealed in your last two editions, I, as a citizen, a voter and a reader, am confused by the list of “no comments” by our leaders.

No one has a comment for us citizens?

I am really wondering about the lack of comments by our County Commissioners in this matter, as it seems two of the major players in this debacle are in the employ of Lincoln County, whom I would assume you are in charge of: Bill Bischoff, your executive assistant, and Robin Benson, the Clerk and Recorder.

Benson is the person currently in charge of elections. What I would like to hear the commissioners comment on, at the very least, is how they can guarantee that we will have fair elections in the future when our election administrator is a major player in these fraud and campaign law violations?

I await their comments on this very important issue.

Thank you,
