The Libby Loggers dropped their home game against the Bigfork Vikings on Saturday, Dec. 19 with a final score of 59-37.

Libby started the game off with a great lead, scoring 15 over Bigfork’s 10. Scoring 12 to the Vikings’ 15 may have put Libby behind for the second quarter, but allowed them to maintain a marginal lead of 27 to Bigfork’s 25 at the end of the first half.

After the teams switched baskets, Bigfork jumped miles ahead of Libby, scoring 17 points over Libby’s two during the third quarter, putting the score at 42-29.

Libby managed to score six more in the fourth quarter than in the third, but Bigfork was able to match their score from the previous quarter, putting the Vikings ahead by 22 points by endgame.

Ryggs Johnston and Anthony Johnson were the big scorers for the night, with Johnston scoring 14 of the Loggers’ points while Johnson scored 11.

Johnston scored four of his nine attempted shots and four out of his nine three-point attempts, while making both of his allotted free throws.
