Troy schools' student supply list

The Troy Public Schools will start a new school year Wednesday, September 2. It’s time to go back to school shopping. Here is the supply list for the students of the Troy school system.

For kindergarten students this is the first of many back to school shopping experiences. In order to have fun while coloring they will need two packages of Expo dry erase markers and two boxes of crayons. They will need a place to store all those markers and will need one crayon box. For arts and crafts they will need four jumbo glue sticks and a pair of scissors. No school supply list is complete with out two big erasers. They will need one set of watercolor paints and one art and paint shirt. They will need two boxes of tissues and three boxes of snacks for snack time.

For students in Mrs. Garrett’s first grade class they will need 40 pencils, a box of crayons and two plastic pencil boxes. They will need two dry erase markers and four big erasers. They will need three large boxes of tissues and two containers of Clorox wipes.

For students in Mrs. Cummings first grade glass they will need 48 pencils, a pencil box and crayons. For arts and crafts they will need scissors and glue sticks. In case they make mistakes they will need four dry erase markers.

For the second graders in Ms. Gose’s class they will need 48 pencils, one pencil box, one wide ruled notebook and 24 crayons. They will need washable colored markers and one package of dry erase markers. They will need two bottles of Elmer’s Glue and one pair of scissors. Make sure to get one folder of each color, green, yellow and red.

For Mrs. Miller’s second grade class they will need 48 number two pencils and one pencil box. They will need one package of wide rule loose-leaf paper to write on. They will need four dry erase makers, one pair of scissors and a box of crayons.

For the third graders that will be part of Mr. Rogers’ classroom they will need 48 number two pencils and one box of markers, colored pencils and crayons. They will need three wide rule notebooks and one three-ring binder, no trapper keepers. For the computer lab they will need a pair of headphones. They will also need one package of index cards; two glue sticks and two large pink erasers.

For students in Mrs. Coleman’s fourth grade class they will need 36 number two pencils, colored pencils, crayons, markers and one pencil box. They will also need a ruler, a three spiral-bound notebook and one package of lined notebook paper.

For students in Mrs. Downey’s fifth grade class they will need 48 number two pencils, crayons, and a pencil box. Unlike, other grades Mrs. Downey’s students will need two pairs of scissors, instead of one. They will also need three glue sticks and four packs of loose-leaf paper.

For students in Mrs. Roberts’ fifth grade class they will need 48 number two pencils, one large pink eraser, a pair of scissors and one set of watercolor paints. They will also need six composition notebooks, two spiral notebooks and two folders.

For those in Mr. Arpin’s sixth grade class they will need 40 number two pencils, three notebooks and erasers. They will need a package of colored pencils and a package of dry erase markers. They will also need one composition notebook and three notebooks. They will need to become a member of the local public library.
