Dale Myers

| August 21, 2015 8:30 AM

Dale W. Myers, 60, died on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at his home in Troy. He was born October 15, 1954, in Helena. Dale was raised in Billings and Great Falls, where he attended high school. In high school Dale was a dedicated musician and Eagle Scout, which led him to attend the University of Montana.

Dale’s journeys and work took him all throughout Montana and Oregon. In Oregon, Dale made many friends and met the love of his life, Patty Myers. Together they moved their family to Troy, finding their first home on Bull Lake. Dale found his true home in Troy, becoming heavily involved in the Bull Lake Volunteer Ambulance. Dale and his wife were emergency medical technicians, and Dale served as a board member for the Bull Lake Fire Department.

Dale’s life was filled with laughter, music, woodworking and photography. The only place he could ever love more than Troy was his second home, Glacier National Park, where he would have camping trips all year round. A great lover of nature and animals, Dale was an avid member of Scotchman Peaks and other nature organizations.

He is preceded in death by his parents Katherine Myers and George Myers of Montana, Mary Lou Hawker-Huerkamp of Colorado and his son Jed H. Myers of Oregon.

Dale is survived by his wife Patty G. Myers of Montana, his daughters Arnica D Myers of Washington, Blair D Adams of Oregon; his stepchildren Amber M. Adams, Brandon L. Adams and Jordan D Hall of Oregon; his stepfather Thomas Huerkamp of Colorado and his close cousins, Leslie and Bonnie Anderson of California, Allen Lee and Connie Anderson of California, Tom and Judy Dove of Colorado, Don and Shelley Hawker of Colorado, Ed and Sue Hawker of Alabama, Ken Hawker of Utah, Charles and Nancy Hawker of Colorado, Debra and John Noe of Colorado and Margie Otte of Colorado and Aunt Mary and Dale of Colorado.
