Kootenai Valley Christian School bringing S.E.A.L. to Libby

Letter to the Editor:

On April 24 Chad Williams, a former Navy S.E.A.L., will come share his story with Lincoln County.

Chad is the keynote speaker for the Kootenai Valley Christian School Spring Gala Fundraiser. He has appeared as a guest speaker on Fox News Channel, CNN News Room & Anderson Cooper 360.

Chad’s story is unique because he was a friend of Scott Helvenston, the Navy S.E.A.L. murdered in Fallujah, Iraq. Losing his friend and mentor proved to be a life-inspiring event for Chad, one that spurred him to follow his own dream of becoming a S.E.A.L.

He made it through the training as one of only 13 from a class of 173. He served our country on Teams One and Seven through multiple tours of duty. Today he is in demand as a keynote motivational speaker.

It is true that I am a grandparent of a KVCS student and therefore have a vested interest in the school, but it is also my belief that everyone at every age and stage of life can be inspired by the story of a fellow human being.

Encouraging words can be exactly what we need to lift us up and give us a new perspective. The evening of April 24 holds that promise and I hope that you will be able to join me in attending.
