Sept. 5

• A woman on Cabinet Avenue reported being fearful of her ex-husband. She said he shows up unannounced at her house.

• A caller on Forest Avenue reported his mailbox destroyed.

• A caller on Highway 2 near Logan State Park reported a lone cow grazing along the highway.

• A caller on Coles Road reported a squatter living in a makeshift shelter on his property. The caller wanted the squatter removed.

• A caller at the Halfway House reported the theft of a can of gas.

• A caller at Libby Elementary School reported a teacher mistreating a handicapped student.

• A caller on Montana Avenue reported a small Yorkshire Terrier missing. The dog had missing front teeth and no collar.

Sept. 6

• Sage Aren McCormick, 18, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence.

• A caller on Highway 2 near mile-marker No. 38 reported running over a dog on the road.

• A man near Bellevue Trailer Park reported someone attempted to break into his trailer just now. The door was bent, but the man said there was no need for an officer to investigate further.

• A caller near McGinnis Meadows Road reported smoke on top of the mountain. Smoke appeared to be coming from Lolo Forest.

• A caller on Yaak River Road reported a trespasser on the property. The caller said the person has trespassed numerous times in the area.

• A man on Highway 2 near Kootenai Falls reported exchanging words with another man. The caller said he was later assaulted by the man when he took pictures of the man.

• A caller reported menacing dogs eating chickens near Pioneer Road.

• A caller on Highway 2 near Pioneer Auto reported seeing a man with a bolt action rifle sitting on the side of the road. The caller thought the man in a white shirt and blue jeans was acting funny.

• A woman on Trainers Street reported her car broken into last night.

• A mother on Louisiana Avenue reported a neighbor dog howling for the last three hours. The mother said he kids were trying to sleep, but could not with all the noise the dog was making.

Sept. 7

• A caller requested a welfare check on a car parked in the ditch on Highway 2 near mile-marker No. 24. An officer found two people sleeping in the car.

• A caller on Glendora Avenue reported chasing two men after they tried to break into a building. The caller did not have a description of the two men.

• A caller on Farm to Market Road reported a car driving erratically back and forth down the road. The caller also reported hearing numerous gunshots.

• A caller on Sophie Lake Road reported finding a member of a wedding party passed out at 4 a.m.

• A man on Spencer Road reported his neighbor threatened to shoot him last week.

• An employee at Treasure Mountain Casino reported money stolen from her car while working.

• A man on Spencer Road reported a customer at his yard sale threatened to steal items and later sell them for profit.

• A caller near Rosauers reported an extremely intoxicated man asking for money. The man had already been asked to leave the grocery store.

• A caller on Spencer Road reported hearing what sounded like gunshots.

• Jeremy Chapel was arrested and charged with probation violation.

• A caller near Washington Avenue reported a pair of bikes posted near a light pole. The caller thought the bikes may have been stolen.

Sept. 8

• A caller on Michigan Avenue reported the theft of gas from his gas tank.

• A caller on Dakota Avenue reported a car parked on the side of the road for the last two months. The caller said the car was parked in a way that made it difficult to enter and exit the driveway.

• A caller on Bull Lake Road reported a case of identity theft.

• A woman reported her soon-to-be ex-husband took off with her three children. The woman said one of the children was not her ex-husband’s.

• A caller on Pinewood Lane reported a man knocked over the caller’s mail box a few weeks ago. The man said he would come by and fix it some time, but that time had still yet to pass. The caller wanted to talk with an officer.

• A caller on Park Street said a woman keeps calling and leaving horrible messages.

• A house fire was reported on Reserve Road.

• A caller on Highway 2 near mile-marker No. 32 reported a car driving very fast with the hazard lights blinking.

Sept. 10

• A caller on Avenue B reported a black bear hanging around the area. The caller was concerned because children walk to school on that avenue.

• A caller on Mahoney Road reported a car driving too fast.

• A caller on Highway 2 reported children stealing mail from mailboxes.

• A caller on Norman Avenue reported a white husky ran away.

• A caller near Hotel Libby reported what sounded like a sick cat in the alley. The cat appeared poisoned and suffering.

• A caller at Town Pump reported a customer had been gambling for the last six hours while leaving a dog tied up out back.

• A caller on Highway 2 near the Mormon church reported a dead deer in the road.

Sept. 11

• A man on Florence Road reported people shining lights in his windows and walking around his yard.

• Cory Robert James, 27, was arrested and charged with probation violation.

• Annette Rene Bell, 40, was arrested and charged with issuing bad checks and contempt.

• A woman on W. 2nd Street Extension reported a trio of donkeys out on the road. The woman said she had put the donkeys away two times already and was done.

• William Ray Shinton was arrested and charged with contempt.

• A woman said she was moving from Angel Island but wanted to talk to an officer about the drug dealers in the area before she left.

• A caller near the animal shelter reported a massive black lab mix running around the area.

• A caller on Highway 37 near J. Neils Park said she heard and later confirmed that a large black dog was hit by a car and killed.

• A mother on Midland Road reported her 16-year-old son was being obnoxious and out-of-control.

• A caller with Burlington Northern Santa Fe reported a sports utility vehicle parked near the tracks.
