Area seniors awarded scholarships

Seniors from Troy High School and Libby High School were recently awarded scholarships as they make their ways out into the world.

Below is a list of students and the combinated value of the scholarships they received. Numbers marked with an asterisk (*) include scholarships with the potential to be awarded annually.

Libby High School students Cody Barrick and Adam Neisess were recently offered Montana University System Honor Scholarships. The scholarshops waive undergraduate tuition for up to eight semesters at any campus of the Montana University System or Dawson, Flathead Valley or Miles community colleges.

Barrick and Neisess are two of the 247 students statewide to receive the offer. Barrick was also awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship by the National Merit Scholarship Program.
