George Russell Jameson, Jr - 76

George Russell Jameson Jr., 76, of the Yaak died from natural causes Friday, April 3, 2014, at his home. He was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Boulder, Colo., to George and Dorothy Jameson. George served in the U.S. Air Force for nine-and-a-half years and then was honorably discharged.  

George married Carol Thompson June 27, 1956. He moved to Spokane, Wash., where he worked as a drywall contractor. In 1977 George moved the family to Libby where he continued to work as a drywall contractor. George fell in love with the Yaak the first time he saw it. He and Carol purchased a lot next to the Yaak River and built their retirement home there. George never wanted to leave his beloved Yaak home.  

George is survived by his wife of 58 years Carol; four sons Steve Jameson (Rosie) of Columbia Falls, Ralph Jameson (Vicki) of Spokane, Wash., George Jameson (Rachel) of Michigan, David Jameson (Jewel) of Libby.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014, at the Boyd Hill Cemetery in Yaak, with a reception to follow at the Yaak Community Hall. Local arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
