Terri L. Johnson, 57, of Troy

| January 3, 2014 9:45 AM

Terri L. Johnson, 57, of Troy passed away on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby after an extraordinary fight to beat cancer.

Words cannot express the admiration we have for Terri’s refusal to let her illness control her life until the last possible moment. She was born an April 4, 1956, to Jim and Sue Lyle in Libby.

Terri spent most of her life in the Troy area. Wherever she worked or recreated, people knew Terri was present from hearing her laughter and giggling. There was no doubt she loved her family, friends and life in general.

Terri enjoyed boating, water sports, camping or just going for a drive to look at the scenery and wildlife.  Music was traditional in her family and she enjoyed singing along with the jam sessions while tapping time with her spoons. Bowling and chatting with her special friends at the Trojan Lanes were a highlight for her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Lyle; stepfather, Phil O’Neill; and a sister, Becky.

Survivors include her husband, Rod; son, Neil (Jordan) Stow; mother, Sue O’Neill; sisters, Brenda and Shana; brother, Jim and wife, Audrey; precious grandchildren, Kaylee, Aubrey and Maddux;  nieces and nephews and so many, many close friends.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Church of God in Troy.

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
