Richard Jensen

Richard Jensen was commended to the Lord in Atherton, Calif., after a 14-month courageous battle with a Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor.

Survived by his wife of 28 years, Dianne; children Jeanne, Forrest and Katie Jensen, all of Atherton, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law Janice and Lynn Muzzy of Minden, Nev.; and aunt Winifred Jensen of Minden, Nev.

In addition to his immediate family he is survived by his aunt Ilene Tangen of Libby; cousins Mary Goos and family of Portland, Ore., Rayetta Morrison and family, Teri Tangen and family, Wes Tangen and family, and Ray Tangen, Jr., all of Libby, and Kristina and Si France and family of Menlo Park.

Rich grew up in San Leandro and graduated in 1973. Rich earned a bachelor’s degree from the Universtiy of California at Davis in 1978, DMD in 1982 from Oral Roberts School of Dentistry, and completed his general practice residency in 1983 at University  of Mississippi.

Dr. Jensen practiced dentistry in Palo Alto and Menlo Park for 30 years. Beyond his professional career, he had a passion for Young Life Ministry and traveling up to Montana with his family. When he wasn’t enjoying time with friends, you’d find Rich riding on his Gehl Skidsteer in his backyard.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 at Central Peninsula Church, 1005 Shell Blvd, Foster City.
