Lloyd Stricklin, 90

Lloyd Stricklin, 90, beloved husband of Beulah, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center in Libby. He was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Oct. 28, 1923, to Lloyd W. and Minnie Violet (Craig) Stricklin. He grew up and attended school there, and graduated from David Starr Jordan High in June of 1942.

Lloyd was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country from May 12, 1942, until being honorably discharged Nov. 13, 1946. He was a truck driver by trade for more than 40 years, and retired from Vancouver Fast Freight in Vancouver, Wash., in 1985. He married Beulah Gill in September of 1986, and they spent their life doing the things they loved; RV’ing, fishing and enjoying a wonderful life at their beautiful home in Libby. 

He was loved dearly by all of his family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife, Beulah; two children Rodger (Delane) and Kay (Joe); a brother Everett; grandchildren Charmayne, De Ann, Sonia, Bobby and Johnny; nieces and nephews Cathy, Terry and Jerry; 19 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; 10 great nieces and nephews; and two great-great nieces and nephews.
