April 10

Caller reported a driver on Highway 2 near Kootenai Truck & Tire had almost hit her and not stopped for a school bus.

Jesse John Driebusch was arrested on an Idaho warrant.

Libby Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Libby High School.

Larry Matthew Hansen turned himself in on a Justice Court warrant.

Animal Control was contacted about pit bulls running loose and jumping on a child on Farm-To-Market Road.

Officers responded to Tennis Courts for three juveniles who were reported for minor in possession of tobacco.

April 11

A man reported that somebody had hit his truck while parked at the Venture Inn. He wanted to speak with an officer.

A woman reported that somebody had vandalized the mirrors of her vehicle while she was shopping at Rosauers.

A woman reported items had been taken from her residence while she was in the hospital.

An ambulance transported an infant to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center after the infant was found unresponsive in the bathtub of a residence on Burr Avenue.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of trespassing at the Dirty Shame Saloon.

The crossing lights were on at the intersection of the railroad tracks and Fifth Street, but there was no train coming. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway was alerted.

A man wanted deputies to investigate a rumor that someone was logging his property without authorization on Rocky Draw Road.

Someone reported that a realty sign had been stolen.

A dog was reported stolen. The reporting party believes the dog was last seen in the back of somebody’s pickup truck.

A man reported that he has not been getting mail since he moved to a residence on Pioneer Road. He believes someone might be stealing it, and he wanted to speak with an officer.

April 12

A woman was transported by ambulance to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center after possible alcohol poisoning.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with multiple traffic violations.

A caller reported an accidental shooting that occurred the night before. The man who was shot had been transported to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center. He was treated and released.

Somebody reported that a class ring and a 32 revolver were stolen. The reporting party found a receipt that showed the ring had been pawned.

Libby Police took a report of a possible break-in at an abandoned building on Lincoln Boulevard.

A woman reported that another vehicle tried to run her off the road on the Fifth Street Extension.

April 14

Public safety workers were called to the scene of an accident on Highway 2 and Cedar Street that involved a semi-trailer truck and a fire hydrant.

A man in the Libby area reported someone was writing checks on his account.

A man reported that his ex-girlfriend had stolen all of his quarters.

Someone called 911 to report that a man would not leave a residence where he was unwelcome. There was a dispute about a transaction in which a man had not paid another man for his truck. There was some yelling in the background, and then the phone hung up.
