A burst of wintery weather in spring shortened the Bigfork Invitational track and field event Saturday. Before the day was cut short, Troy’s Nathan Olds and Sean Opland managed to claim second and third, respectively, in the boys high jump, both clearing six feet. Opland, a sophomore, also earned second in the 100-meter dash, running the distance in 11.27 seconds, edging Thompson Falls freshman McKenzie Holt, who finished in 11.38 seconds.

Holt will seek quick redemption Thursday when Troy travels to Thompson Falls.
