Terry R. Everett, 60, of Libby

| October 11, 2013 4:00 PM

Terry Robert Everett passed away Sept. 27, 2013,  at his home in Libby surrounded by his wife, Sandy, daughter, Kami, and his animals.

He had an almost three-year battle with cancer, but he is now in the hands of our Lord.

Terry, aka Tad, Big Red, Pa, Dad, Bro and Bud, was born March 23, 1953, in Farmington, Maine. He was the fourth-born son of five to Florence Welch Everett and L. Raymond Everett.

Terry grew up in the Norway/Paris area and attended Oxford Hills High School. He received his boilermans license and worked maintenance and mechanic jobs at Allied Container in Lewiston, Maine, and at Caterpillar in Portland, Maine, before moving to Montana. He then got into trucking for T-Bend Construction and A-1 Paving and Concrete in Kalispell where he earned the name “Big Red.”

Terry loved being outdoors fishing, hunting and firewood-collecting with his brother, Tom, who passed in 2002 in Hungry Horse.

He didn’t love it when his wife outfished him. He very much enjoyed spending time with family and especially the last few summers he spent with Hannah, Peyton and Katelynn and the last several years with Kami.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy (Cookie) Everett; brothers, Forrie (Pam) Everett, Larry (Heidi) Everett and Dick Everett; daughters, Teresa Ridlon, Hannah Mason and Kami Christianson;  son, Kyle Everett; grandchildren, Autumn Dow, Timothy Ridlon, Katelynn, Peyton, Mercedez and Donovan Mason, Logan Gilbert, Jocelyn Everett;  great-grandchildren, Jordan Sawyer and Kayde Ridlon and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services are being held.

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
