Debra E. Powers, 50, of Troy

Debra E. Powers, 50, of Troy died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital.

She was born Feb. 5, 1963, in Parker, Ariz., to Joseph and Ruby Gibson Powers.  

Debra spent her younger years in Arizona. She moved to Troy where she attended high school. Debra was an excellent cook and had cooked for as well as managed numerous restaurants.

Debra also was employed by the U.S. Forest Service as a cook.  

She enjoyed Mexican food, playing Keno, collecting wind chimes and other unusual items.  She was a very loving mother who was dedicated to her children.  

Survivors include her children, Charles Chapel, Natasha Chapel, Joshua Chapel all of Troy; a sister, Judy Powers; two brothers, Randy and Dan Powers; and two grandchildren, Lexi, Cordellia.

Private family services will be held.  Local arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
