The Polson Lady Pirates showed why they are the favorites to win a fourth-straight softball championship at the state tournament next week by handing the Lady Loggers a 10-1 setback in their season finale.

The Pirates had four extra-base hits including a triple and a home run from Heidi Rausch as they scored four runs in both the second and third innings.  The Pirates finished with 10 hits.

The Loggers only run came in the first inning on a slap hit from Hannah England and an RBI groundout by Rachel Rebo. The Loggers only managed five hits against Polson pitching ace Shalaina Duford. Dayln Germany, Kelsey Klin and Brooke Rosling each had singles.

Twenty-four hours after their tough loss to Columbia Falls, the Loggers looked distracted and frustrated at times allowing the speedy Pirates to take advantage on the base paths.
