Lester R. Spain, 73, passed away after an extended illness at home on March 1, 2013.

Lester was born on Jan. 22, 1940.

Lester had a tender caring personality, especially shown to wife Beth, his best friend. His exuberance and active love of life were dampened by illness, but will live in the memory of those who knew him in his prime.

Lester is survived by the love of his life, Beth, wife of 35 years. He leaves sons Wade (Darlene) of Bellingham, Wash., and James (Allegra) of Ferndale, Wash.

He was so proud of grandchildren, Britagne, Trinity Anne, Roko and Kristopher Paul. Lester also is survived by brother, Bruce (Leslie) of Ferndale, Wash., sister, Sharon (Robert) Cole of Hamilton, Mont., sister, Linda (Mike) Briggs of Anderson, Calif., and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Lester’s final resting place will be in Hamilton where his parents Lester C. and Eda Spain are laid to rest.

Family was the most important thing in life to Lester. May he rest in peace.
