Carol A. Graham, 80, formerly of Libby

Carol Arlene Graham of Bonita Springs, Fla., died Jan. 27, 2013, at Joanne’s House Hospice in Bonita Springs, Fla.

She was born to Ethel and Earnest Wilcox on June 28, 1932, in Newark, N.J.  

Carol married the love of her life, Robert Graham, on March 15, 1953, in Belleville, N.J. They enjoyed 44 beautiful years together living in Libby. Robert preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1998.  

Robert and Carol moved to Libby in 1962 and lived there until Robert’s death.  Carol moved to Florida in 1998, a few months after Robert’s death.

She is survived by five children, Scott (Angel) Graham of Neosho, Mo., Glenn (Carol) Graham of Hurricane, W.Va., Donna Graham (Sandi Cooke) of New Castle, Colo., Kevin (Brenda) Graham of Farmington, N.M., and Kimberly Graham of Bonita Springs, Fla.;  granddaughter, Rachel (Derrick) Barnes of Neosho, Mo.; grandson, Benjamin Graham of Neosho, Mo.; granddaughter, Savannah Graham of Farmington, N.M.; and five grandchildren, Kyle, Eliana, Hannah, Gentry, and Carly of Neosho, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest; her sister, Joan; her mother, Ethel; and her husband, Robert. 

Carol operated an upholstery business in Libby until she retired in the mid-1990s.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Christian Church in Libby.  She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile. She volunteered for many Shriner’s Hospital fundraisers providing her time and items she made.

She enjoyed traveling, making crafts, dining, dancing, and spending time with friends and family. Her enjoyment included living in the mountains of Montana and later in Florida next to the ocean.  

A memorial service will take place in Libby this summer.
