Ronald J. Fagg, 66, of Yaak

Ronald James Fagg, 66,  resident of Yaak died March 30, 2013, at Spokane, Wash. He was born Aug. 22, 1946, to Eldridge and Virginia (Hulett) Fagg at Seattle,  Wash.

He grew up at Alder-wood Manor, Wash., and graduated from Shoreline High School with the class of 1964.  

After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  He was honorably discharged three years later. He had one marriage that ended in divorce. After his discharge, Ron worked for the St. Maries Complex of Potlatch Corp. He returned to the Seattle area shortly thereafter and went to work for King County Water District. Ron’s other career positions included working for the City of Bothell, Wash., and the City of Kirkland, Wash., before going to work for Thurston County as a Road Supervisor. He married Barbara Gee on Sept. 2, 2000, at Coeur d’Alene.  They made their home at Yaak, near Troy. 

Ron served on the Yaak Volunteer Fire Department  He was also trained as a wildfire firefighter. Most recently, he operated the Boyd Cemetery at Yaak.

He was described as a loving and giving man. He never left a job unfinished.

He enjoyed carpentry and hard work. Ron always cared about the emotions and wishes of others.

Ron is survived by his wife, Barbara, at the family home in Yaak.
