Peter A. Bond, 77, of Libby

| October 2, 2012 1:32 PM

Peter Arnold Bond, 77, passed away suddenly on Sept. 22, 2012.

He is survived by his loving wife, four children, six grandchildren, a sister, and a multitude of other close family members and friends across the world.

Pete spent most of each summer in Montana the last 20 years or so.  Family, friends and fishing were his loves in life, maybe not always in that order.

He had an enduring love for the Kootenai River and the fish who swim there and the forests of the Kootenai and the grizzlies and moose who live in them.   He spent many hours picking huckleberries and fishing the rivers, streams and lakes in Lincoln County.

Another favorite pastime was providing “advice” to the local fishery biologists and grizzly managers.

He loved his family and friends with a deep passion that he often recorded in private journals.

If persons feel moved, they can honor him with donations to some of his favorite local organizations:  Libby Heritage Museum,   Lincoln County Library and the Yaak Valley Forest Council.
