Kootenai River Rhythm is set Nov. 3

| November 2, 2012 10:35 AM

Kootenai River Rhythm, produced and directed by Tony Smith, will return for a 10th performance following a year’s hiatus.

The concert, at the Memorial Center on Saturday, Nov. 3, begins at 7 p.m. and features many familiar faces from the past, including the Big Swing Band led by Frank Chiaverini, with Alan Lane, Ty and Brenda Nagode, Dr. Bill Cuskelly, and bassist Ben Palmer.

Vocalist Julie Meyer, accompanied by vocalist-pianist Tony Smith, once again will be featured, as well as many new members of the “Going to the Sun Voices.”

Local “Doo Wop” favorite  “The Men of Troy,” will be back, as will pianist-vocalist Nita Smith, Sharon Scott Smith, and violinist Linda Kuntz.

The price for admission, one that hasn’t changed since the inaugural performance in 2001, is $15, and includes desserts.

Tickets are available at the Printing Press in Libby, as well as at Northwest Music (Hot Club) in Troy.

People are encouraged to buy their tickets well in advance as this show traditionally sells out.
