Ioma E. Denton 82, of Marble Hill, Mo.

Ioma E. Denton, 82, of Marble Hill, Mo., died Oct. 21, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born on May 15, 1930, in Harvel, Mo., daughter of Chester and Elsie I. (Stout) Horn.  

She and Wilson L. Denton were married on Nov. 23, 1946.  He preceded her in death on July 13, 2005.

Mrs. Denton was a homemaker and had worked at Sterlings and Dollar General Store.  She was also a secretary at Denton Plumbing & Heating all in Perryville, Mo. 

She was a member of Sedgewickville Baptist Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading and watching western movies.

Survivors include three sons and one daughter: Gerald Lee (Margaret) Denton of Marble Hill, Mo., William M. (Sharon) Denton of Troy, Mont., Bonita J. (Alan) Bryson of Libby, Mont., Randy J. (Betty) Denton of Perryville, Mo., one daughter in law: Ellen Denton of Bowling Green, Ky., one brother and two sisters: Willis Horn of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Pearl Horn of Herman, Mo., and Ruth (John) Melton of Perryville, Mo., 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: Ronald Denton and three sisters, Opal Diamond, Ruby Clayton and Virginia Statler.

Visitation at the Young & Sons Funeral Home was Oct. 23 and 24.

The funeral was Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012,  at Sedgewickville Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Dugan & Rev. Les Bequette co-officiating.  

Burial Sedgewickville Baptist cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society.
