Oct. 9

• Robert Lee Smith turned himself in on a warrant.

• Minor in possession at Libby High School.

• A large black bear reported at Evans Corner sleeping on a log pile in a resident’s backyard.

• A parent called because his son was missing coming home from Libby Elementary. He was found, he had gotten on the wrong bus.

• Caller on Falls Creek Road said her soon-to-be ex-husband was manhandling her.

Oct. 10

• Suspicious activity was reported at Happy’s Inn. The front door was ajar at 2:30 a.m.

• Caller on Bald Eagle Road reported someone he had tried to get an order of protection against was harassing him.

• Caller on Commerce Way wanted to report their neighbor’s young children playing outside without coats, shoes and socks. They were worried about the cold.

• Caller on Fish Hatchery Road reported receiving a fraudulent call trying to update bank information.

• Shots were fired on Lewis Loop in the lower-numbered part of the trailer court.

Oct. 11

• An overly aggressive dog was reported on Timber Lane. Caller said it tried to bite him while he was on his porch.

• A DMV employee at City Hall reported an aggressive male.

• A caller wanted to report her wallet being stolen from the dressing room at Shopko.

• Caller on Highway 37 wanted to report two older males driving a white jeep that did not pay for their fuel.

Oct. 12

• A caller on Louisiana Avenue wanted to report a male being disorderly while driving his car.

• Theft reported at the NC Trailer Court.

• Someone came into the sheriff’s lobby to report a possibly abused horse, a skinny black mare.

• Troy dispatch received reports of a couple and a child “stranded” at the Troy Rest Area.

• Caller on Avenue B reported his ex- trying to steal things from his property.

• Caller on Sixth Street wanted to talk to an officer regarding a theft.

• A caller on Balsam wanted to report a large black Labrador being aggressive.

• Neighbor on Spencer Road wanted to report a large domestic disturbance. Wayne Bonderer was arrested on DUI charges.

• A person was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at McDonald’s.

• The same residence on Spencer Road was the incident of a family assault. See inset story above.

Oct. 13

• Happy’s Inn was the site of a theft.

• A family disturbance was reported on Utah.

• A possible DUI was reported at Dawson and Farm to Market Road.

Oct. 14

• The remnants of a meth lab were found in the storage units by Odie’s Café in Troy.

• Caller wanted to report two youths harassing the wild turkeys near her house with slingshots.

• Two juveniles were riding bikes when one got a flat tire, their mom told them to come home.

• Caller in Troy wanted officers to check on their 3-year-old daughter in the Yaak.

• Cody Hall, 23, was arrested on a probation violation. 

• Caller on Highway 2 reported a partner/family assault.

Oct. 15

• Family disturbance on Spencer Road.

• Someone reported gunshots fired near River View Drive in Troy.

• Family disturbance on Farm to Market Road.

• Reba J. Valera was arrested on charges of DUI on Vanderwood Road.

• Someone broke windows on the First United Methodist Church.

• A bear was destroying garbage cans on Bache Road.

• A Libby resident reported a lawyer handling his father’s estate has been stretching the process out over two years.

• Theft was reported in the parking lot of Rosauers, a pool stick had been taken.

• Caller on Scenery Road wanted to report a fradualent phone call.

• Caller on Schoolhouse Lake Road wanted to report fraud on his Visa card.

• A Treasure Avenue resident wanted to report items being stolen from his residence.

• Caller reported a new lawn mower being stolen.

Oct. 16

• Large tree blown across North Central.

• Small tree in the road at Second Street Extension.

• A tree took a power line down at Spencer Road.

• A tree fell on Highway 2 at Mile Marker 46.

• Several reports of trees blowing over in Troy.

• A tree over a power line was starting a fire at Red Rose Ranch Road.

• Spruce tree blocking road on Bobtail Cut-Off.

• Downed electric line in the road behind the middle school.

• Found: black Lab and German shepherd on Farm to Market Road. 

• Caller on Fifth street reported a female demanding her ID because she believed caller stole it.

• Caller wanted to report drug activity on Mineral Avenue.

Oct. 17

• Caller was just punched in the face and had a broken nose.

• Theft charges filed against a man caught stealing gas on Highway 56.

• Homeless man was caught sitting on a train of BNSF.

• Someone stole meds out of a car at Big Sky Bowling Alley in Eureka.

• A 4-year-old child was found alone at the weigh scales on Highway 2.

• Caller on Wisconsin Avenue reported child abuse.

• Caller on Highway 2 wanted to talk to a deputy about threatening text messages he was receiving.

• Juvenile runaway reported on California Avenue.

• A deer broke its neck on Vicks Lane.

• A female was threatening another female at Happy’s Inn.

• Caller on Avenue B was assaulted in her driveway.

Oct. 18.

• Trent Harley Thomson was arrested in contempt.

• Traffic accident on Highway 2 South, a truck was in a ditch and trailer blocking the road.

• Wild turkey was injured by a dog and needed to be put down on Highwood Road.

• Fraudulent call received in Troy on Waterfront.

• Caller left his wallet in St. John’s, and it was gone when he went back.

• At Highway 2 and Henry’s a young man was accosted by an older individual making aggressive gestures.

Oct. 19

• Caller on Commerce Way reported a male demanding to be let inside the apartment.

• Caller on Spruce reported her black Australian Shepherd had wandered off.

• Caller on Flower Creek Road wanted to complain about golf balls falling on his property from above.

• Caller on Idaho reported a string of thefts.

• 15-year-old male was a runaway on the South Fork Yaak Road.

• Caller was assaulted in Libby.

• An adult probation violation was reported on Lousiana.

• 16-year-old male was assaulted by his mother on Matilas Drive.

Oct. 20

• Bull Lake caller wanted to report bad checks.

• Thomas Sigea, 56, was arrested on charges of DUI.

• Call advised of a deceased black bear on Highway 2.

• Bear causing trouble on Hogan Drive.

Oct. 21

• A deer was propped up at the tables at the Elementary School.

• Criminal Trespass reported at the trailer court on Three-Corner Road.

Oct. 22

• Caller on Dolphin Way reported someone telling him over the phone that he had won a Mercedes.

• Lower Quartz Road caller reported a troublemaking bear.

• Wallet was lost by McDonald’s. A brown tri-fold with expired Oregon ID.

• A large black bear was reported on the Libby football field.

• Deer in the road by Aitkens.

• Four juveniles were being suspicious on Vanderwood and Lewis Loop.

• Green pickup sitting in the middle school parking lot at night. Caller was suspicious. 

Oct. 23

• Caller’s neighbor had a stroke and left unattended animal at his house on Granite Creek Road.

• Two bales of hay were reported on Highway 2 near mile marker 49.

• A white Lab was found at Dream Marine.
