Wayne Williams, 51, of Moyie Springs

| May 8, 2012 12:36 AM

Wayne W. Williams, “the light of his family’s lives” died April 7, 2012.

Williams was a dedicated and devoted husband, loving father, soft hearted grandpa, caring brother, beloved son¬in-law, and true, life long friend.

Wayne rode out of our lives doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle with the love of his life and soulmate, Kelli.

Wayne was born in Wurzburg, Germany, on April 11, 1960, to Darius and Margot Williams. The family moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in the early ’60s, spending his childhood getting into mischief with his brother James.

Wayne went to work for Burlington Northern Railroad in 1978, and continued to work there until his death.

In the fall 1989, Wayne met Kelli Adkins while working in Libby. They were soulmates from the start and were married on April 17, 1993. Together they raised their three children, Jake, Bobbi, and Bret.

Wayne was adored by his granddaughters. Lexie truly loved it when she picked the fall apples with her “cranpa,” and he would give her kisses and tickle her with his “mushmash.” Kamilee was grandpa’s “right hand girl” when it came to emptying the Jelly Belly jar. Samantha was his right-beside-you partner when it came to meat grinding.

Wayne lived his life to the fullest, and he has a special place in the hearts of all who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife Kelli, their three children Bobbi (Scott) Wells of Bonners Ferry, Bret (Linda) Young of Germany, Jake “Irish” Williams of Sandpoint, Idaho. His three granddaughters, Samantha, Lexie, and Kamilee. His brother, James (Shawna) Williams, of Lewistown, Mont., nephews, Michael and Shane Williams. Sister Shanna (Aaron) McNall of Sandpoint, Idaho, niece Madison McNall, a sister, Yvonne (Bryan) Kriger and their three children, father Darius (Bernita) Williams and their children.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Margot Becker Jay and his granddaughter Kaitlyn Lee Price-Williams.

We love you and we miss you. Now you are free to “enjoy the ride” until we see you again.

Family and friends are invited to sign Wayne’s book at www.bonnersferryfuneralhome.com

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.

A potluck memorial service was held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Northwoods Tavern in Naples, Idaho.
