George L. Yeadon, 80, passed away April 23, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital of congestive heart failure.

He was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Salinas, Wyo., to Henry and Anna Blanch Yeadon. He was raised and educated in Chugwater, Wyo., before joining the Army in 1952.

He married Patricia Ann Deon March 19, 1966, in Evanston, Wyo. From there, they moved to Rawlings, Wyo., while working for Kiewit Construction. Then, moved to Montana in 1970 where he worked construction for Morgan and Knudson.  And finally, moved to Troy in 1972 where they built their permanent home.

He worked for Asarco and later retired from Louisiana-Pacific in 1994.

George had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, working on cars, sports and just spending time in the great outdoors. In his younger years, he enjoyed performing in rodeos and stock car racing.

George never met a stranger and was best known for his “social skills”. He always had the best jokes and an endless supply of gigantic fish tales. He was ornery, funny, and just comfortable being himself. He was well known for his signature phrase “I guess so!”

George was a family man through and through.

George is preceded in death by both his parents, brother, Charlie Yeadon, son Don Yeadon, and grandson Dominick Yeadon.
