Legion Baseball: Logger Pitching teams to defeat the Bandits

| June 5, 2012 9:02 PM

The visiting Libby Loggers American Legion baseball team pounded out 14 hits Sunday en route to an 11-8 victory over the Rocky Mountain (British Columbia) Bandits.

Jared Winslow pitched two innings to pick up the victory, and he was aided by Luke Haggerty, who pitched five innings, Creede Garcia (one inning) and Will Reichel, as the foursome gave up only four hits.

Libby still is working on its fielding as these nine committed five miscues that aided the Bandits.

Luke Haggerty was the big hitting star for Libby, picking up three hits in four at-bats and scored twice.

Reichel scored three runs while picking up two hits, as did both Micah Germany and Oliver Grupenhof.
